Shinya Nakagawa’s career began in Japan as a salon hair stylist. After moving to New York he began working under Julien D’Ys, who inspired Shinya’s signature use of organic and architectural shapes to mold innovative and timeless looks.

Shinya is known for his ability to think outside the box, his incredibly strong work ethic and his collaborative vision. Shinya creates styles that move with texture- a nod to his creative and technical flexibility.
